Hello and thank you for visiting Chair Blocks!

I have designed Chair Blocks for musicians to help aid good posture by raising the chair legs, keeping knee height below the hips.
Two height settings are available with each pair depending on the chair you are using.

Chair Blocks have been tried and tested by professional musicians at many venues across the UK which has enabled me to create the most versatile posture aid.
They're aimed at helping to alleviate the aches and pains experienced by musicians due to the provision of poor stage seating throughout rehearsals and concerts.
Of course, not every venue provide bad seats, but we all know them when we see them!

Whilst they have been created with string players in mind, they can be used by any instrumentalist who experiences difficulty in finding comfort from venue to venue.

Recent clients include the London Philharmonic and Bournemouth Symphony Orchestras, as well as individuals from prominent UK orchestras such as the the London Mozart Players, Opera North and English National Ballet. Many West End, studio and freelance musicians also use Chair Blocks.

There are three Chair Block models available - Strad, Amati and Rocca.
The Strad model provides a medium / high raise, whilst the Amati model provides a small / medium raise. The Rocca models are similar in size to the Strad & Amati blocks but come with a cut away for use with 'bar chairs'.
You can see detailed height measurements in the technical diagrams below.

For complete versatility in your seating position, you may wish to purchase both Strad and Amati models together as part of a Chair Blocks package.
Using both models simultaneously provides a combination of seven height options, helping you to achieve the most comfortable playing position possible.

A 15% discount is applied when purchasing Strad, Amati and Rocca blocks as a package!
